Ben’s Ten #1 - NFL W12

Alongside Harry Potter and Where's Wally, Ben Ten was a nickname I got a lot growing up. As a result, it's inspired me to introduce a new segment to the one percenters called Ben's Ten. Put simply, it is my top 10 takeaways or predictions heading into a week of a given sport.

For my inaugural "Ben's Ten", I'd like to present my NFL Week 12 (Fantasy Football) predictions. Please note that for many of these, I am using absolutely no statistical evidence and am relying solely on my gut instincts - like any good fan of course…

1. CMC is going to go absolutely ballistic. I say this not only because I am against him in fantasy this week, but also because two weeks without a touchdown is two weeks too many for Christian.

2. The Chiefs defence will rebound. KC is an incredible institution and wins despite injuries because of mentality and hard work. While it sounds like I am doing tricks on it, this is also because they are up against an improving, but nevertheless lackluster Carolina offence.

3. Tommy DeVito brings false hope back to New York. QBs love playing Tamba Bay this year and DeVito could go for some serious yardage. Lock it in: Malik Nabers finally gets another touchdown. But, their rest of season schedule is not easy and I do not think that a Bucs shootout should bring any NYG fans hope. Instead, just take the small wins for now and celebrate the end of the Danny Dimes era.

4. The Ravens secondary improves and Herbert x McConkey underwhelm. This one hurts to say because I'll be starting both studs, but there is just something about this Chargers offence right now that is too good to be true. And, the leaky Ravens secondary somehow kept Pickens & Russ touchdown-less last week, making Boswell's output look like prime Tom Brady. Nonetheless, this prediction helps me hedge my bets.

5. Rams upset the Eagles. The Eagles are on a hot streak and their CBs (specifically rookie Quinyon Mitchell) have been locking up notable WRs but I think Nacua & Kupp go large.

6. Jordan Love finally throws for 2+ TDs. 49ers are decent against the pass, but always give up big plays and Love should exploit this. Safe bet, I’m expecting Tucker Kraft to bounce back and actually catch a pass this week…

7. Caleb Williams legacy game. The Bears looked better last week and you can't beat the Vikings on the ground so Caleb will have to sling it. He could go for 3+ TDs and I think DJ Moore will find the end zone again (finally).

8. Kyren Williams scores again. Realistically, it's just been too long.

9. Roschon Johnson outcarries De'Andre Swift. Going off last week, Roschon just looks like he brings more life to this offence and has better pass-catching abilities. I think this will be especially needed against a stingy Vikings rush defence.

10. Taysom Hill is unstartable this week. This is of course because he has a bye, but I need at least one of these predictions to be true...
